Effective May 1, 2026, United Cargo will implement a Market Disruption Fee on freight shipments for AWB issued on or after May 1, 2026.

The Market Disruption Fee reflects United Cargo’s increased cost of doing business globally.  United Cargo faces the challenge of rising costs imposed on us by our suppliers, partners, and by the market. 

The Market Disruption Fee will apply as follows:

Shipments from the Americas………………………………………………….……..USD 0.25/kg

Domestic U.S. shipments…………………………………………………………........ USD 0.05/lb

International PMC from the Americas (flat)……………………………….............USD 300/PMC

Shipments from APAC…………………………………..USD 0.55/kg charged in local currency

Shipments from EMEIA…………………………….……USD 0.35/kg charged in local currency

The fee is applicable based on the chargeable weight of the shipment.

• Charge code MC (market disruption fee) will be included by United on the Air Waybill under Other Charges.
• Lifeguard (9093) shipments will be exempt from this fee. Lifeguard XL will be subject to the fee.

United Cargo will continue to evaluate conditions closely and communicate any adjustments to this fee as conditions evolve.
