Temporary restrictions of ambient animal products at BRU
Due to capacity constraints, the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV) has temporarily suspended inspections for animal products requiring ambient temperature storage at Brussels Airport (BRU).
As a result, we are temporarily unable to accept the following animal products typically stored at ambient temperatures:
- Honey
- Canned meats
- Powdered milk
- Aged cheese
- Egg powder
Customers should refrain from sending animal products that require ambient temperature storage for human consumption to Brussels Airport during this temporary suspension. Inspections for refrigerated and frozen animal products remain operational and will continue to be accepted.
