Supporting Southern California wildfire relief efforts

As devastating wildfires continue to impact Southern California, United Airlines is taking action to support affected communities and provide relief to those in need. The fires have already burned over 30,000 acres and displaced more than 180,000 people, prompting a swift response from United and our partners.

Since the wildfires broke out on January 7, United has donated $100,000 to two local California nonprofits − the LA Regional Food Bank and California Fire Foundation − and will match additional donations up to $150,000 and 5 million MileagePlus miles. Your contribution will directly support United’s emergency response partners, equipping them with the necessary resources for each phase of recovery.

“Our hearts go out to all those impacted by the wildfires in Southern California,” said a United Airlines spokesperson. “We are committed to supporting our employees, customers, and communities during this challenging time. United stands ready to provide assistance and resources to help with relief and recovery efforts.”

As the situation evolves, United continues to work with local authorities and relief organizations to address the most pressing needs of affected communities. Customers are encouraged to check United.com or the United app for the latest travel updates and ways to contribute to the relief efforts.

United Airlines remains dedicated to being a force for good during times of crisis, leveraging resources and networks to support communities in need.
