R50 Description of United Airlines Cargo Gen Service
  1. United Airlines Cargo GEN is the standard service for transportation on United flights confirmed to the shipper.

R52 Conditions of Acceptance

  1. The shipper must request a reservation (Toll free Tel. 1-800-UA-CARGO or 1-800-822-2746) not less than 1 hour prior to tender of shipment. United will confirm such reservation only if space is available.
  2. The Shipment must be tendered to United at the air freight terminal at least two (2) hours for intra-U.S. or four (4) hours for international shipments before the scheduled departure of the specified flight.
    EXCEPTION: Shipments containing dangerous goods must be tendered to United at least 3 hours for intra-U.S. or 5 hours for international shipment before the scheduled flight departure.
  3. Acceptance
    1. If the actual or the dimensional weight of the shipment exceeds the weight for which space has been requested and confirmed, United will transport such excess weight on the next flight(s) on which space is available. The GEN rate will apply to the total weight of the shipment.
    2. If the excess weight cannot be separated from the portion of the shipment for which space was confirmed, United will at the Shipper's request, carry the shipment on the next available flight as GEN.
    3. If the excess weight cannot be separated from the portion of the shipment for which space was confirmed and there is no space available to the destination with seven days, United will refuse the shipment.

R58 Restriction of Service

United Airlines Cargo GEN Service is not available to the following shipments:

GEN Service is not available to the following Premium rated commodities as defined in Section IIL.C

  1. Warm-blooded Live Animals
  2. Articles of Extraordinary value
  3. Human Remains
