The Airforwarders Association. The Airforwarders Association is a nonprofit organization formed in 1990 by three major forwarders who recognized that, in order to compete in today's sophisticated and competitive market, forwarders needed to work in partnership with more focus.

International Air Transport Association. IATA was formed in 1945 to represent and serve the airline industry. It is the prime vehicle for inter-airline cooperation in promoting safe, reliable, secure, and economical air services.

Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA is the governing agency for air transport in the United States. Their Web site provides United States legal guidelines that may help you in planning your shipments.

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) is a worldwide organization of the air logistics industry.

U.S. Customs is the governing agency that ensures all imports and exports comply with U.S. laws and regulations. The importing/exporting section of their Web site provides guidelines that may help you in planning your shipment.

The Electronic Embassy is a resource that provides information on the Foreign Embassies in Washington, D.C. The Foreign Embassies/Consulates are a valuable resource for information about restrictions on specific goods being shipped into or out of their country, and required import/export documentation.

The Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) provides real-time information about airport-specific weather-related delays. This effort is one of several the FAA has introduced recently to take full advantage of the web to provide information and services.

The Automated Export System (AESdirect) is the U.S. Census Bureau's system that provides Exporters and Forwarders responsible for export reporting, with an automated service for filing export documentation. If you register on their site today, you can begin to streamline your export reporting process and reduce paperwork.
