United Cargo offers C.O.D. service to shippers. This service collects the purchase price of the
goods from the receiver at the time of delivery and then transmits them to the shipper. United Cargo
charges a nominal fee for this service.
Rules and Regulations for C.O.D. service:
The shipper must enter the C.O.D. amount on the Air Waybill. United shall not be liable for
failure to collect the C.O.D. amount when it is not entered by the shipper on the Air Waybill. Each
piece of a C.O.D. shipment must be marked with the letters "C.O.D." and the total C.O.D. amount to
be collected. All C.O.D. charges must be paid in cash, money order, or by cashiers check made
payable to the shipper. Under no circumstances will United Cargo be responsible if a check proves to
be counterfeit, forged, or it is for any reason dishonored.
The following will not be accepted C.O.D.: (as specified in Rule
S70)
- Shipment requiring prepayment of transportation charges.
- Charges Collect Shipments requiring shipper's written guarantee for payment of collect
charges as specified in Rule G58.
