Abbreviation for United Airline.

U.S. Customs - United States Customs Service (USC)
A U.S. government agency. The USC is responsible for the collection of duty on imported goods and the prevention of smuggling and illegal importation and exportation. Aircraft arriving from foreign countries, including all cargo, baggage, and ship's stores aboard, are in the custody of customs officials and are subject to inspection until released for entry.
 
U.S. Department Of Agriculture (USDA)
A U.S. government agency. The USDA has the responsibility for preventing the importation of plant, bird and animal pests and diseases that might affect crops and livestock. Imported commodities subject to inspection are unprocessed food products, seeds, plants, fruits, flowers, meats, trophy skins, hatching eggs, ocean by-products, including coral and shells. May inspect animals being exported.
 
U.S. Fish And Wildlife Service (USFW)
A U.S. government agency. This agency is responsible for enforcing various federal laws and regulations relating to the protection of endangered or threatened animals and plants. Inspection and release to allow exportation and importation of all live fish, birds, and other forms of wildlife (animal by products, skins, leather, hides, unprocessed furs, hunting trophies, etc). (this is not needed for Intra-US cats and dogs).
 
U.S. Public Health Service
A U.S. government agency. Enforcement of regulations is performed to protect the health of a nation by preventing the importation of ""quarantinable diseases"" (smallpox, cholera, yellow fever, plague, louse-borne typhus, and relapsing fever). Vaccination requirements have been standardized among nations through the World Health Organization. May examine aircraft upon arrival to ensure that the interior of the aircraft, baggage, cargo and ship's stores carry no disease vectors or insects . May perform physical examinations on certain cargo before entry is permitted. (live Intra-US pets, biologicals, serum shipments, and human remains).
