Rate of Exchange
Rate used to convert one currency to another.
 
Rate/Rate Structure
The charges for cargo shipments applicable to a minimum charge, per pound charge, per hundred weight charge, container charge, or specific commodity rate charge.
 
Reaccommodate/Rebook
When a cargo booking has been canceled, it may be reaccommodated/rebooked on another specified United flight(s).
 
Recoup
Retaping or rebanding a shipment that has fallen apart in transit.
 
Recovery Time
The time from offloading the aircraft until the cargo is made available to the customer/ consignee or set up for delivery to the customer/consignee.
 
Reservation
Prearranged cargo space on a specific flight(s). Also referred to as booking.
 
Restricted Articles
A term referring to dangerous goods.
 
Rider
Documentation for a specific shipment that has been separated from that shipment and forwarded attached to a different shipment.
 
Rollerbed Truck
A truck that has rollers on the floor to aid in moving unit loading devices on and off.
 
Routing
A predetermined course to send cargo, either online or offline or both.
