Cargo Restrictions Lifted in SLC 02/16/17United Cargo is pleased to announce that effective February 19, 2017, Air General will become our new service partner in SLC. Air General is a family-owned and -operated company that has delivered consistent quality cargo handling since 1961, and they successfully partner with United Cargo at several other locations in the U.S.
The great news is that effective February 19, we will lift all current restrictions and once again transport our entire suite of cargo products on flights to and from SLC. In addition, the location, phone numbers and FIRMS code for our SLC facility will not change with the transition to Air General. We will also extend our customer service hours of operation. Effective February 19, hours in SLC are:
Monday Friday: 06:00-22:00
Please note that effective February 19, all ancillary fees, including terminal handling charges and storage fees, will be payable to United Cargo in SLC. These fees will no longer be payable to our cargo service partners. All payments must be made by debit card, credit card or on a United Cargo customer account. United Cargo is cashless and does not accept cash or checks as payment.
Customers who wish to set up a credit account with United Cargo should visit www.unitedcargo.com and click "Register," then "Request an account to ship with us" to complete the online application. Customers applying for new accounts solely for the purpose of paying terminal handling and storage fees should include "Destination Charges Account" in the subject line of the application email. We will expedite the review and approval of these applications.
